Conversion Profiles

Choose the desktop, web, or Type 1 output that fits your destination.

Profile selection menu. "OpenType PS" profile is selected.

One profile applies to the current conversion operation.

OpenType PS .otf

Generates one OpenType font with PostScript/CFF outlines per target.

OpenType TT .ttf

Generates one OpenType font with TrueType outlines per target. TrueType
instruction handling is controlled in Preferences.

Webfont PS .woff2 + .woff + .svg

Builds a PostScript-outline webfont package. For each successful target, the
package can contain:

  • .otf
  • .woff2
  • .woff
  • SVG font
  • CSS @font-face sample
  • HTML specimen

Webfont TT .woff2 + .woff + .eot + .svg

Builds a TrueType-outline webfont package. For each successful target, the
package can contain:

  • .ttf
  • .woff2
  • .woff
  • .eot
  • SVG font
  • CSS @font-face sample
  • HTML specimen

Individual package members are included only when their writer succeeds.

Win Type 1 .pfb

Generates legacy Windows PostScript Type 1 output: .pfb, .afm, .inf, and
.pfm.

Unix Type 1 .pfa

Generates legacy ASCII PostScript Type 1 output: .pfa and .afm.

Type 1 is obsolete and has format limits. Use it only for a workflow that
explicitly requires it.

Webfont licensing

Many desktop-font licenses do not permit webfont conversion or web embedding.
Check the source font's license before selecting a webfont profile.
